Capt. Scott Adams Skill Level 1-star Supplies Needed: Kite clip, 1/8 drill bit and copper wire Another simple idea to keep your kite clips from sliding up your kite line is to use the following rig.

Next wrap a 3-4 section of copper wire onto the clip as pictured.

Next wrap a 3-4 section of copper wire onto the clip as pictured.

Finally, when deploying your kite wrap the copper wire around the swivel after clipping your mainline in. When retrieving your kite line the wire will release as the clip hits your kite rod tip.
