The 82' Snafu

The next project to launch from F&S Boatworks is the 82’ Snafu. The truly custom sportfisher is designed for extended travel, owner-guest-crew comfort and offshore fishability. Key features include a tower by Palm Beach Towers, Onan 29kw gensets, two SeaKeeper 16 gyrostabilizers, dual ice maker and water maker capability w/ SpotZero, high-capacity refrigeration/freezer units, Furuno 360 degree Omni sonar, and an extensive pressurized baitwell system. Custom curved salon side glass completes the sleek, unmistakable F&S profile. The contemporary interior plans feature a large owner’s stateroom with en suite head/shower, full-beam crew quarters with engine room access, a spacious galley, two pantry areas, a large salon with sofa seating, and captain-designed rod and tackle storage areas. The interior wood cabinetry selection is horizontal grain teak with wenge trim, with solid wood flooring, lightweight granite counter tops and custom casework and valances.

F&S recently launched the 82’ Special Situation and will follow the 82’ Snafu build with the 82′ You Never Know. Each custom sportfisherman was designed and built for a previous F&S owner.

F&S utilizes a variable deadrise hull design with longitudinal steps which results in exceptional speed, efficiency, ride, and sea keeping ability. State-of-the-art weight saving technologies are utilized throughout the build process. The twin 2,600-horsepower MTUs are expected to deliver a cruising speed of 34-35 knots with a top speed in excess of 43 knots.
