Historic Wins and Unprecedented Prizes in Morehead City, NC

The 66th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, sponsored by Jarrett Bay Boatworks, showcased a historic event with 302 boats competing for an extraordinary total purse of $7,562,700. For the first time in sportfishing history, the top three teams each received over $1.8 million!

Game Time Claims Victory

Game Time emerged victorious, landing a 516lb blue marlin and dominating the leaderboard throughout the week. They claimed the Levels I, II, III, and IV prizes, amassing a total of $1,816,375.

Release Earns First Day Marlin Fabulous Fishermen Title

Release secured the title of Fabulous Fishermen by winning the Level V on Day 1 with a 504lb blue marlin, earning them second place overall and a record payout of $2,215,325 (Levels I-IV: $485,575 + Level V: $1,729,750).

Builder’s Choice Achieves Top Rankings

The 64′ Jarrett Bay, Builder’s Choice, showcased their prowess with a 431.8lb blue marlin, winning $1,479,000 in the Level VI: Prime Storage Super 20 Division (a $20,000 calcutta), plus an additional $323,050 for their third-place finish in Levels I, II, III, and IV, bringing their total to $1,802,050.

Ava D Sets New Dolphin Record

Ava D set a new benchmark in the Level VII: Dolphin Winner Take All Division, sponsored by Parker Boats, with a 46.2lb mahi, earning $603,500—a record payout for a dolphin in any tournament worldwide!

SandBob Dominates Release Division

SandBob dominated the Level VIII Release Division, winning $150,875 plus a daily prize of $50,291.67, totaling $201,167 by releasing five blue marlin and two white marlin within four days.

Honky Tonk Wins Non-Sonar Release Division

Honky Tonk triumphed in the Level IX Non-Sonar Release Division by releasing three blue marlin, earning $114,750 ($86,062.50 for the weekly prize and $28,687.50 for a daily prize).

Top Shot Excels in Outboard Divisions

Top Shot excelled in the Level X & XI Outboard Divisions with four blue marlin releases, earning $50,575.

Tournament Achievements and Releases

Throughout the tournament, 268 billfish were released, including 196 blue marlin, 35 white marlin, and 37 sailfish.

Prize Opportunities and Winners
