Innovative Twin-Stepped Hull Design

The new 400Z from Sea Vee features an innovative twin-stepped hull design, which significantly enhances efficiency and handling. Built using proprietary semi-empirical, steady-state computer modeling, the 400Z features multiple lifting bodies with unique geometry that results in a fixed running trim angle.

The cross ventilated, twin-stepped hull produces greater efficiency than ordinary stepped-hull boats, yielding greater speed and fuel efficiency.

Advanced Stability and Safety Features

Improved directional stability comes from an array of speed rails™, a patented Sea Vee design that produces the appropriate counterforce to hard maneuvering that could otherwise cause a conventional stepped-hull boat to hook, or otherwise lose control. High speed turns produce opposing concentrated pressure on the speed rails™, safely keeping the boat tracking in the desired direction for maximum stability and safety.

Comprehensive Fishing Amenities

Built for serious fishermen, the 400Z can accommodate up to 18 rod holders mounted on the sides of the console, safely stowed yet immediately available. The cockpit features twin port and starboard 40-gallon corner livewells. Port and starboard 100-gallon fully insulated in-deck fish boxes store your catch. Plentiful storage space comes from port and starboard storage and a large 40-inch x 36-inch centerline storage compartment that houses the SeaKeeper stabilizing system, or an additional, optional in-deck livewell. The livewells are supplied by a sea chest with dual water pickups, virtually eliminating the aeration problem often found with other stepped-hull boats. A dedicated transducer pad allows for flush mounting large commercially rated transducers.

State-of-the-Art Console Design

The console has room for twin 24-inch multi-function displays (MFDs) that can be flush mounted with a black background for a more integrated look. The forward side sliding door with integrated console seat is opened and closed manually or with the touch of a button, thanks to a newly developed electric actuator providing effortless entry and exit of the console’s interior. The interior is equipped with a molded sink and can be left as is to maximize storage space or enhanced with an electrically operated toilet. Frameless interior access doors, with no exposed fasteners for the electrical panel and electronics compartment, complement the clean, and modern look inside the spacious console.

Enhanced Storage Solutions

A huge, 161 gal., fully insulated fish box located in the bow will hold even the largest catch, and port and starboard rod lockers provide lots of lockable storage for valuable tackle or other gear. An optional coffin box further increases the boat’s insulated storage capacity, and a 71-gallon dry storage compartment immediately aft of the fish box can be upgraded to a livewell to serve the forward area of the boat as a complete fishing station independent of the aft cockpit area.

Powerful Engine Options and Maneuverability

The 400Z can be rigged with triple or quad outboards and can accommodate virtually any amount of horsepower. An optional bow thruster and joystick control system further enhances maneuverability for docking or tight quarters operation.
