Introducing the Merritt Boatworks 77 ‘Catch
The latest from legendary boat-builder, Roy Merritt, is a 77-footer named Catch. As with all Merritts, the boat features the classic custom Merritt look, including a sleek shearline, raked stem and tumblehome. The spacious, four state room, four head layout sits atop an advanced, high-performance bottom designed by Merritt and noted naval architect Michael Peters.
Power and Performance: MTU Engines and High-Speed Capabilities
With twin 2600 hp MTU 16V2000 M96L diesel engines, Catch cruises at 36 knots with at top end of 41 knots. The finely finished engine room can be easily accessed with space to move around the engines and a pair of generators, set aft of each engine. All Merritt boats provide exceptional access to pumps, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Luxury Meets Functionality: Spacious Interior Layout
The boat’s massive 21-foot 2-inch beam affords an expansive salon, which features a large u-shaped settee, spacious galley and dinette. Belowdecks you’ll find a roomy master stateroom with king berth and an ensuite head to port, crew stateroom with over/under bunks, a full head with shower and guest stateroom with over/under bunks to starboard, as well as a VIP stateroom forward with another ensuite head. Satin finished teak and owner selected stone counter tops and soft goods will maintain the upscale and premier finishes the builder has become known for.
Innovative Cockpit and Bridge Design
Merritt pioneered the mezzanine deck, so it’s no surprise that the cockpit sports a fine-tuned mezzanine with a large L-shaped settee to port and storage beneath, a standard day head to starboard and a spiral staircase leading up to the bridge. On the bridge you’ll find three helm chairs, a large bench seat in front of the console and an expansive dash designed to fit large MFDs within easy reach of the helmsman. Her bridge cap rail, half-round trim, toe rail and transom are all maintenance-free faux-finished with multiple clear coats for maximum longevity.
Advanced Composite Construction and Craftsmanship

As they have with previous Merritt models, including the 58-, 72-, 80- and 86-footers, the new 77 is a fully molded, advanced composite construction boat. The repeatability of molds enables Merritts to deliver a complete boat within a 26-month time frame. Proven composite construction methods utilizing Corecell core, custom Kevlar and e-glass fabrics, carbon fiber and epoxy resin makes sure the craftsman at Merritt’s build a strong, light and fast boat every time.
State-of-the-Art Features: SeaKeeper Gyro and More
A SeaKeeper gyro and hydraulic outriggers come standard, and she holds 2,850 gallons of fuel, with 450-gallons of water. She has a standard 2,000 gallon-per-day Watermakers Inc. water maker as well. The all-new 77 Merritt is one of the most technologically advanced boats on the sportfishing market. Her pedigree and performance will turn heads everywhere she roams.
