A Beloved Husband, Captain, and Friend
November 2025, We are heartbroken to share that we lost a truly special man — a loving husband, devoted stepfather, proud grandfather, and loyal friend to so many.
Our beloved Erik was a sportfishing boat captain who found peace and joy on the open water. From sunrise to sunset, the sea was his home — a place where his laughter carried on the wind and his stories seemed to stretch as far as the horizon.
A Life of Strength and Heart
Before his days on the water, Erik was a wrestler — strong in both body and spirit. He brought that same determination and heart to every part of his life. Yet despite his strength, he was truly a big kid at heart. He loved to host family gatherings, fire up his smoker, and fill the yard with the smell of good barbecue and the sound of laughter.
A Devoted Family Man
He was the proud dog dad of two golden retrievers who adored him as much as he adored them. But more than anything, he was a family man — a loving husband, stepfather to four wonderful sons, father-in-law to three amazing daughters, and proud “Papa” to two granddaughters and six granddogs. His greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved most.
