POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED AS OF SEPTEMBER 12, 2023
Seeking a full-time professional mate/deckhand for a private family. This is a non-tournament fishing operation. The ideal candidate will have a “yacht mentality” approach while maintaining the 72’ Viking. We are in search of a dependable individual who operates effectively without the need for constant oversight. The right candidate will possess a clear understanding of professionalism and enjoy interacting with the owner and guests. Fishing skills are needed but not the highest priority. The boat enjoys a balance of cruising and fishing.
When the boat is not traveling you need to be dedicated to boat maintenance working Monday through Friday and weekends when applicable.
ITINERARY: Florida and Bahamas
DURATION: Full-time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Boat is located in Palm Beach
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a professional sportfishing deckhand
- Excellent people skills: polite, clean cut and well-spoken
- High priority for keeping boat in 10 out of 10 condition
- Fishing skills: trolling, live baiting and bottom fishing
- Prefer a non-smoker
- Willing to work as a single mate
- Enjoy people
START: ASAP
SALARY: $50K-70K depends on experience
