Once again, Central America’s largest and richest sportfishing tournament – The Pelagic Rockstar Offshore Tournament – returns to Marin Pez Vela, January 11-14, 2024. Angling teams from across the globe travel to Quepos, Costa Rica to compete over two days of fishing for the prestigious title of Tournament Grand Champion and for some serious cash. Target species include sailfish, marlin, tuna, and dorado.
Last year’s record-setting event saw 94 teams and 553 anglers catching and releasing 1,131 billfish for more than $1.3 million in prize money. Anticipation is high for an even larger field and bigger prize purse.
Marina Pez Vela – a modern, world class yacht harbor with restaurants, bars, and retail shopping – is the perfect backdrop for a weekend on the Pacific Ocean with a festival-like atmosphere featuring daily rock concerts, Costa Rican hospitality, and some of the best fishing on the planet.
