Revolutionizing Tradition: The Release Boatworks 43 Gameboat Elevates Classic Fishing Design

Release Boatworks Introduces the 43 Gameboat

(Feb 2024)Release Boatworks introduces the 43 Gameboat, a fishing vessel that pays homage to the legendary 43 Merritt while incorporating modern sophistication and performance. The first hull of this series, combines the classic appeal beloved by anglers with contemporary marine technology and materials for unmatched quality.

Constructed with a blister-resistant epoxy resin hull, vacuum-infused with Airex foam and Eglass hybrid laminates, the 43 Gameboat is designed for strength and lightness. Its hull interior features an isophthalic gelcoat topcoat and durable high gloss polyurethane coating, while the exterior sports a high-performance isophthalic gelcoat for superior gloss and weather resistance.

Unmatched Performance and Amenities

Powered by twin 550 horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 diesels, it cruises at 30 knots and reaches a top speed of 35 knots. The design by naval architect Erwin Gerards ensures superior seakeeping abilities. Options include more powerful engines, Omni sonar, Seakeeper 6 stabilizer, and custom tower choices.

Equipped for fishing, it includes a 140 square-foot cockpit, electronic controls, hydraulic steering, an Onan generator, and numerous fishing amenities. Jim Turner, Director of Release Boatworks, emphasizes its combination of maneuverability, spacious accommodations, and fishing features, making it ideal for both family and competitive use.

Blending traditional design with cutting-edge technology, the 43 Gameboat stands as the epitome of modern fishing vessels, also available in Walkaround, Flybridge Walkaround, or Express models. Release Boatworks’ new addition promises to set a new standard in the fishing boat industry, marrying the beauty of classic boats with today’s performance and technology.
