Celebrating its 10th year and Viking’s 60th anniversary, the Viking Key West Challenge brought together more than 50 boats and 550 guests for four days of competitive fishing in Key West, Florida.

A Special 2024 Viking Key West Challenge Tournament

Viking President and CEO Pat Healey highlighted the event as the largest in its history during his speech at the Captains’ Meeting. Founded in 1964, Viking Yacht Company is a premier builder of sportfishing yachts and center consoles, showcasing its leading fleet in this annual tournament.

Record-Breaking Wins

The tournament saw juniors leading the wins, with the Viking 61 Right Choice clinching the Top Boat with impressive catches. Piper Hatcher, a ten-year-old angler on the Viking 58 Salt Shaker, won Overall Angler, Female Angler, and Junior Angler titles, making her first significant mark in the tournament.

The event also celebrated camaraderie with numerous fun activities and substantial partner-sponsored prizes. As part of the festivities, Viking’s 60th anniversary was marked with a large celebratory cake at the Awards Dinner.
