Miami, Florida – February 12, 2025 – The Viking Yacht Company proudly unveils four new 50-foot models, led by the 50 Convertible, debuting at the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Joining the lineup are the 50 Billfish (BF), Sport Coupe/Sport Tower (SC/ST), and Open Express (O) models.

Proven Legacy, New Innovation
The 50 series follows the successful 48 series, which delivered 80 boats. The 50 Billfish is Viking’s largest Billfish model yet, building on the success of previous 37, 38, and 46 Billfish models. Designed for fish-focused owner-operators, it offers a sporty, easily maintained yacht.
The 50 SC/ST models emphasize both cruising and fishing, featuring a three-sided glass enclosure with an optional aft bulkhead. The 50 Open Express offers an accessible command deck with a wraparound windshield and hardtop, also available with a Palm Beach Towers tuna tower.
Design & Construction
The 50 Convertible incorporates a flush foredeck, modified upper chine, aggressive strakes, and Viking’s signature feature lines. The flybridge boasts a walk-around center console, 22-inch touchscreen displays, and excellent sightlines to the cockpit. The hull is built with resin-infused fiberglass, carbon fiber reinforcements, and a vinylester/epoxy resin blend for strength and durability.
Cockpit & Performance
The 131-square-foot cockpit features refrigerated fish boxes, a live well, and toe-kick space for comfort. It accommodates a Seakeeper 10 or 14 stabilization system, while a mezzanine freezer, tackle storage, and shade from the flybridge overhang enhance functionality.
Powered by standard 1000MHP or optional 1200MHP MAN engines, the 50 Convertible delivers speed, power, and nimble maneuverability. The engine room is expertly designed for optimal access to ship systems, fire suppression, and maintenance.
Luxury Accommodations
The salon offers an open-concept design with horizontal-grain walnut, LED lighting, and a raised dinette with rod storage. The master stateroom features a walkaround queen bed, 32-inch HD TV, and ensuite head. The forward stateroom offers either a queen bed or crossover bunks, while the second guest stateroom includes upper and lower bunks with private head access.
Industry-Leading Features
Standard equipment includes a 21.5 kW generator, composite seacocks for corrosion resistance, and dedicated pumps for the Seakeeper, A/C, and live wells. Optional features include ElectroSea Clearline and omni-directional sonar.
